What sets SNP-BRIDGE apart?

Over the past six years, we have run the Stanford Neurodiversity Project - Research, Education, and Advocacy Camp for High Schoolers (SNP-REACH), a two-week summer camp for high school students worldwide.

The Stanford Neurodiversity Project’s Building Resources for Independent Development, Growth, & Empowerment (SNP-BRIDGE) is a two-week summer program for college-bound and early college students to maximize their potential in college and engage in neurodiversity advocacy. This pilot program builds upon the successes of SNP-REACH, which teaches high schoolers the design thinking process, universal design for learning, and various aspects in the field of neurodiversity. Students will develop hands-on neurodiversity advocacy projects that will not only enhance their own college experience, but also build leadership and community that can contribute to the broader efforts of the neurodiversity movement.

Virtual & In-Person Program Experience

Students will join via Zoom or in person on Stanford's campus from around the US. The remote setting allows students to listen carefully to educators, make use of closed captioning, and use preference of voice or the chat function to communicate, which fosters full engagement in group discussions. Leading lecturers, researchers, and clinicians from Stanford and around the country will present on different aspect of neurodiversity and life skills. Small group projects allow students to connect in a deeper more active way. Both remote and in-person formats allows students to make new friends, expand your worldview and continue the conversation beyond the program.
