Empower to Employment (E2E): Training and Resources for Success in the Workplace are materials designed to help job coaches, employment specialists, employers, and families of neurodiverse/neurodivergent individuals. These resources build awareness about neurodiversity, provide guidance on work preparation, and share practical support strategies grounded in research and real-life experiences. E2E was developed by the Stanford Neurodiversity Project research team in collaboration with neurodivergent individuals and their communities, and it centers on the strengths-based approach. It provides bite-sized, online, self-paced training materials for anyone helping neurodivergent individuals succeed at work or prepare for employment.

E2E has three versions: E2E 1.0, E2E 1.1, and E2E 2.0:

  • E2E 1.0 has 7 modules. Interested users can access E2E 1.0 for free via this link.
  • E2E 1.1: E2E 1.1 builds on the content of E2E (1.0), adding five supplementary modules designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the workplace. These modules cover essential knowledge and practical strategies for addressing behavioral challenges, emotional regulation, and more. Handouts and quizzes are included. A certificate will be provided after completing the course.
  • E2E 2.0: E2E 2.0 focuses on foundational knowledge and practical strategies for supporting neurodivergent individuals in the workplace—from understanding neurodiversity to applying inclusive approaches in daily practice. Handouts and quizzes are included. A certificate will be provided after completing the course.
