SNP-BRIDGE Program Description

Main content start

SNP-BRIDGE stands for Stanford Neurodiversity Project - Building Resources for Independent Development, Growth, and Empowerment. It is a two-week summer program for college-bound and early college students across the U.S. to maximize their potential in college. Together, we will:

  • Discover our strengths and talents
  • Build skills in executive functioning and self-advocacy
  • Discuss tools and supportive opportunities to think about the future, including career development trajectories
  • Hear from neurodivergent college student advocates, faculty, and staff in interactive panel sessions
  • Learn about the strengths-based model of neurodiversity, universal design, and current research around experiences of neurodiversity
  • Create neurodiversity advocacy project ideas for your school or community
  • Build a fun and supportive community around neurodiversity

This is the first year the Stanford Neurodiversity Project (SNP) has organized this two-week summer program for college-bound students. You may be a good fit for SNP-BRIDGE if you are currently a:

  • High school senior expecting to graduate in Spring 2026
  • Gap year student
  • First year in college
  • Second year in college

Group Projects: Students conduct group projects of their choice using the design thinking approach. Students learn from professors, researchers, clinicians, and neurodivergent student advocates. Through the design thinking process, students then collaborate on neurodiversity advocacy projects that may continue beyond the program.
